Time the need of the Hour

Some years ago, I used bunk school, then I started bunking college and today the story continues as I bunk my office too: D and they say I do not grow up. Don’t the above events show the remarkable progress made by me.

Now as it might occur to you I do not have time blog these days, so before I get time write a comprehensive post on some topics, which I thought to write on, I, want you to ponder upon some questions.

1. I know “brain drain” is an outdated debate topic but do you think with opportunities growing in our country, is it justified on the part graduates to earn for other countries( I mean to move abroad), when the nation needs them most in its journey from a developing country to a developed one.

2. Do you think that kind of advertising going on these days aims to create needs where there are not any? Do you think consumers have become dustbins ?

3. Do you think the open door policy has benefited our country? Countries like USA and Britain having practiced protectionism for 100 years now propagate free markets after their own domestic industry has become very strong.

4. Why do you think a country, which had some greatest revolutionaries in the world some fifty years ago today, lacks people with nationalist spirit if it does?

1. Every person is entitled to his own happiness and if it lies abroad, then so be it. And they do contribute to the country's growth in one way or the other. Also, we have SOOOOOOO many people that we will always be left with some good breed of everyone.

2. You can see a hint of the American Capitalism creeping into our country there. The commodity being advertised is often not as important as the brand name itself. The brands will say anything to make their product sell. But I dont think you will have to worry about their invasion atleast for the near future.

3. Umm...uh...hey loved the quote of the day!

4. There are still people, but support for them is less!

See, the thing is other countries offer MUCH more than what graduates are offerred back home. Thats why most opt to move out. Life is more comfortable than what it is in India.

The bunking saga continues and gives u time 2 pose questions eh??:p

1) I think opportunities have to be seized, depending on whether they are ur priority at that time. So if abroad presents a better opportunity then you should utilise it else I dont think there are lack of opportunities here.

2) Consumers are the king of the market....so only those products work which the consumer wants and publicity and attractive offers also work..so consumers are not dustbins!!

3) Question pass:p....i have a habit of bunkin questions too..;)!!

4) Nationalist spirit, nowadays has become according to our convenience which is sad.

Phew...i think i wrote a short note :o!!

interesting post, brain drain is for IITS and IIMs, govt (society)subsidises their education and they go abroad and work. IITs have a dismal record when it comes to research in india, but these same guys will do research outside india for $salaries. i agree that the concept is not dead
the point of advertising is to create a want\desire which is subconsciously there. consumers have a choice, but choose not to exercise it, as the age old dictum goes 'buyer beware'

open door has made us stronger (industries) cracking the indian market is a channenge. GM has failed while Maruti has succeeded. but FDI is retail and EDucation shouldnt be allowed

yeah we do lack people of nationalistic spirit in india(closest ironically are the right wing,)

1. "to earn for other countries"
It is earn in other countries. Even otherwise lets take care of the pennies and the pounds will fall in place.

2. "to create needs where there are not any"
I love to see such advertisements. Its a nice exhibition of creativity. After all they can only tempt us, its we who fall for it. If an ad convinces us to buy a poor product, let us acknowledge their marketing skills.

3. Let us put it the other way round. Do we have a choice? If we had a close door policy, we wouldnt be competing with others in Software service industry, BPO etc.

4. We dont lack the people. Its just that they arent heard.

1.I didnt get exactly at the first one..if u r talkign of forex..i think we need brains and enterpreneurs if we have to progress..

like all the "made in china goods come from small and village scale industies based there..

2. i agree..but not every body is intelligent enuf..consumers can be fooled..

3. each coin has two sides..same wid open door..but wid open door..small scale and other important industries should have been protected..at least in sectors where ther indian ventures some tariffs cud be applied,.

4. i completely agree...
